Duties include:

• Must schedule and hold five office hours per week
• Must be familiar with AP style
• Edits copy, including cutlines and headlines
• Checks all facts, quotes, names, titles, dates, etc.
• Maintains consistency of stories edited
• Assists in writing cutlines, headlines, open/close/division copy
• Charts the flow of copy
• Writes copy
• Attends all staff meetings, work nights/weekends
• Helps out during individual pictures, and group pictures
