Managing Editor Duties include:
- Must schedule and hold at least eight
office hours per week
- Manages office business
- Assists in the final check of copy
and layouts as well as proofs
- Is responsible for all supplies in
the office
- Shares responsibility for public
relations work concerning the yearbook
- Organized yearbook during staff
portraits, output mailings, distribution, name verification and other
promotions
- Assists section editors in meeting
deadlines
- Meets with editor in chief on a
regular basis to discuss problems, goals, deadlines, etc.
- Enforces and records editors' office
hours and attendance at meetings and work weekends
- Handles student employment and
payroll
- Is responsible for requisitions
delegated by editor in chief
- Advises staff on design and content
- Regulates scholarship hours with
adviser's approval
- Conducts meeting when delegated by
the editor in chief
- Handles all matter concerning
advertising revenue
- Makes and updates "Echo Stylebook"
